Our Journey
Our journey to Aeromile started with a mission to revolutionize last-mile delivery. Through research and innovation, we aspire to make Aeromile a symbol of efficiency and innovation in the logistics industry.
A late night conversation over J.P. Licks ice cream in Harvard Square gave birth to our Aeromile team. Bonding over our shared experiences with living in suburban neighborhoods, we brainstormed potential areas of improvement in the fields of transportation and logistics.

We resumed our discussion during a dinner party in our marketing strategist's backyard. We formulated the idea of integrating trucks and drones to improve last-mile delivery, a pressing issue in the logistics industry.
Weekly Zoom meetings helped us improve our ideas. We assigned roles to our team members based on interests and prior skills. We distributed tasks and deliverables to each member while identifying areas of collaboration.

Through a conversation with Dr. Long Phan, a leading entrepreneur in the drone delivery industry, we learned the value of trial and error in entrepreneurship. We also gained valuable insights on how to go about designing our truck-drone integration system.

We planned our AI-driven routing algorithm and implemented code to empirically calculate the impact of truck-drone integrated model compared to the existing truck-only model. Aeromile promises an average delivery time reduction of 20.1% and an estimated 20.7% reduction in carbon emissions per delivery, boosting customer satisfaction as well as environmental sustainability.
Our designer utilized AutoCAD to create a 3D model of a lightweight quadcopter drone with a special hook to attach to packages of a variety of sizes and a 360-degree camera for targeting and tracking.
